About Lifecycle

Expertise across the diagnostic pathway.

Lifecycle brings together deep experience across diagnostic services — from strategy and laboratory operations to implementation, health economics and technology. This breadth allows us to understand problems in context and deliver solutions that work in practice.

Innovation, through a separate route.

Where innovative technologies need a route into UK healthcare, commercialisation and distribution are undertaken separately through Progen Diagnostics.

UK Market Access Delivered through Progen Diagnostics

The UK is a major healthcare market. Getting into it takes more than a distributor.

The NHS is complex, fragmented and difficult to navigate. Success requires more than a product and a sales team — it requires access to the right people, an understanding of how decisions are made, and the credibility to build adoption.

That is where we are different.

Proof this model already works.

This is Progen Diagnostics' work: identifying outstanding new technology and introducing it to the NHS. Each solution here is presented through the clinical problem it solves, the evidence behind it, and the pathway to adoption.

Peter Mullin

Peter Mullin

Chairman

View bio

Peter Mullin is an experienced healthcare entrepreneur and consultant with a strong track record of building successful businesses and delivering commercial solutions across the NHS. He founded and grew a healthcare consultancy to more than 60 people, becoming a recognised specialist in procurement, contract management and outsourced services. The business worked with over 70% of NHS Trusts, successfully competing with established in-house solutions and building long-term, profitable relationships that delivered sustained value for clients. Its reputation and success attracted former NHS Chief Executive Sir David Nicholson as a Non-Executive Director — the only such commercial appointment he held at the time. Following the sale of the main business in 2023, Peter retained an interest in and became Chairman of Lifecycle Consulting Services (LCS). He subsequently established Progen Diagnostics to bring innovative diagnostic technologies into the UK healthcare market, initially through Uromonitor. Peter combines commercial experience with a practical understanding of how the NHS actually works: how decisions are made, how solutions are evaluated, bought and adopted, and, crucially, how to turn an initial opportunity into a long-term partnership that delivers lasting value for both the NHS and its commercial partners.
